WeSort.AI joins bvse

A new milestone for us: following the ‘Green Angel’ award at IFAT, we are taking the next step and joining the bvse. Why? Because we want to integrate our AI sorting technology even more closely with the day-to-day operations of small and medium-sized recycling businesses.
Anyone wishing to build and improve sorting plants must work closely with the people who operate them every day. That is precisely why we have now become a member of the bvse (Federal Association for Secondary Raw Materials and Waste Management). The association brings together over 880 companies – from regional waste management firms to highly specialised recyclers.
For us, it’s the perfect platform to contribute our expertise whilst also learning a great deal from real-world experience.
A seamless transition following the ‘Grüne Engel’
Of course, this isn’t an entirely new development for us: as recently as May, we won the bvse industry award ‘Die Grünen Engel’ together with our client Korn Recycling. The award was given to our X.Sort system for its ability to detect rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries in the material stream before they can cause fires in the plant.
What we specifically plan to do as an association:
Making equipment safer: Battery fires remain a major issue in the industry. We want to further curb this with our AI-based early detection system.
Putting AI technology into practice: AI-supported detection can be adapted to almost any use case. We want to show how it works.
Gathering feedback: We want to hear directly from users where the biggest challenges lie, and tailor our systems precisely to address them.
